Council Meetings
City Council meets regularly at 6 p.m. at City Hall Council Chambers on the second and fourth Monday of each month. The month of March meetings will be Monday, March 8 and Monday, March 22.
Dog Licenses
All dog licensesMust be renewed annually. Please bring your dog’s vaccination certificate with you. We maintain a copy on file at City Hall. Fees are Neutered/Spayed $3, if dog is not spayed or neutered, fees are $8.
Burning Schedule
Yard waste burning will begin on March 15 and will continue through May 30. Burning is allowed from 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.. No burning of garbage is allowed. The sewer plant is open on Wednesdays and Fridays from 7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. for yard waste and brush disposal.
Snow Removal
For the safety of pedestrians, residents and business owners are reminded to remove snow off the sidewalks in a timely manner. Please remember to move vehicles off the street to make snow removal easier.
Durant Community Center
The Durant Community Center is available to rent for a variety of activities. The facility is excellent for weddings, family reunions, and birthday parties, just to name a few. To book your party or if you have any questions you may call 785-6419 and staff will be glad to help you.
Committees and Boards
Mayor Smith is looking for volunteers to serve the City on various Committees and Boards. Contact the Mayor or City Hall if you are interested in serving.
