Garbage and Yard Waste
Put garbage in bags in the garbage tote. Yard Waste Pickup continues through November 30 on regular garbage days. Yard waste must be placed in a paper yard waste bag with a yard waste sticker. These stickers can be purchased at City Hall for $1.00 each. The sewer plant continues to be open on Wednesdays and Fridays from 7:30 a.m. noon and 12:30 - 3:00 p.m. to dump yard waste and brush also.
Recycle
Recycling collection continues on Wednesdays. Please have recycling out by 6 a.m. All plastic containers and tin cans must be rinsed out and lids removed before recycling. Papers, magazines, phone books, and catalogues are all accepted and do not need to be bundled. Remember to recycle cardboard, this can be flattened and placed under your recycle bin. Glass, Styrofoam, and plastic bags are not accepted for recycling.
Burning Ordinance
Yard waste burning is allowed during the hours of 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. September 1 through December 1. No burning of garbage is allowed.
Irrigation Meters
Return irrigation meters during the month of October. We like to have them back before the freezing temperatures arrive. Meters that are left out to freeze and thaw have a tendency to crack. If they are returned by the end of October, your sewer credit will be included on your November water bill.
Permits Required for Building, Electrical,
HVAC and Plumbing
Permits are required for all new construction, building alterations, accessory buildings, and concrete work. Permits are also required for signs, fences, and swimming pools over 5000 gallons. Per state regulations permits are now required for electrical work, plumbing, and heating/AC projects. We ask that you please allow at least 48 hours for your permit to be approved before starting your project.

The Community Center Board members, Henry Bentley, Dick Bullard, Joey Gehrls, Waynette Rocycki, Colleen Doolittle, and Rae McGuire, look forward to continuing to update the community center as funds are available. If you have any suggestions for the building please contact one of the board members.
